The Lions followed reports from a charity event that was part of Georgia’s spring game, where Stafford was seen throwing balls through a tire. General manager Martin Mayhew has been monitoring the situation from a distance, and will continue to do so with such a valuable commodity to the organization. Stafford has earned just three wins through 12 NFL starts, but although his winning percentage ranks among the worst for quarterbacks drafted with the first overall pick, he has shown signs of being able to lead the Lions’ turnaround. The franchise has struggled to become a contender over the past couple of online sports betting seasons, but a healthy Stafford will go a long way to getting back. Stafford threw for six touchdowns compared to just one interception in three games in 2010, for a 91.3 passer rating.
