72069073AL_D006NFL betting season 2010 has seen many teams overachieve thanks in large part to the underrated players that make up their clubs. Whether it is Tim Tebow from Denver or Kerry Collins in Tennessee, football betting fans have seen some of the best performances from players that flew under the radar. Here are a few players that come to mind through seven weeks.

  • Josh Freeman QB Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Going into the 2010 season if you had told us that the Bucs would be ranked higher than Super Bowl champion New Orleans through seven weeks we would have laughed at you. The Bucs success can be credited to one man, rookie pivot Josh Freeman. Freeman has knocked off some of the expected powerhouses of the league. What’s more he’s even proven to be able to win an ugly game or two which always helps these poor teams.
  • Marshawn Lynch RB Seattle Seahawks - If the Seahawks win the NFC West, look for Lynch to be a big reason why. The Seahawks got Lynch for practically nothing from a Bills team looking to rebuild. But why wouldn’t you rebuild with Lynch? In his first two seasons, Lynch rushed for over 1000 yards, yet his off field issues appeared to get the better of him. Through the first couple of games he’s had with the Seahawks, the Lynch appears to be that stabilizing back Seattle has longed for since Shaun Alexander.
  • Roddy White WR Atlanta Falcons – After this week’s clinic against the Cincinnati Bengals, if you didn’t know who Roddy White was, you do now. White has been Matt Ryan’s favorite target the last two seasons, and is once again putting up MVP caliber numbers. He’s coming off his third straight 1000 yard receiving season yet he isn’t even mentioned in the same breath as the Randy Moss’s and Anquan Boldin of the NFL.
