Fans betting on NFL teams such as the Denver Broncos have two things to wager on, who will be the starting quarterback come opening day? And can Eddie Royal blossom as that starting quarterback’s primary passing option?
One of the toughest positions for NFL betting odds is the quarterback position. For the Bronco’s, this is no different, as this year they have three really good quarterback’s all vying for the starting job. Recently, Bronco’s coach Josh McDaniels announced that going into training camp, last year’s starter Kyle Orton is the number one quarterback. However McDaniels then went on to say that if one of the other two quarterback’s, former Brown Brady Quinn or Florida rookie Tim Tebow, out played Orton, one of them would be the starting pivot.
Of the three, Orton comes in as the most experienced and successful having guided the Bronco’s to a strong start last season, and just narrowly missing the playoffs. Quinn the other experienced quarterback at camp, has had the most difficulty transferring college success to the big show, as his last three seasons in Cleveland have been rather forgettable. During his time in Cleveland, Quinn along with former backup Derek Anderson led the league in most interceptions. However in Denver, Quinn looks to get a second chance, and prove that he is not amongst the many flops at the pivot position.
Finally, Florida Gator star Tim Tebow is the longest shot to win the starting job in Denver, but fans should not be too shocked if he is able to win the job. Although one of the main criticism’s of Tebow is that throughout his college career, he was on a very stacked Gator squad, fans should not forget that he was easily the best player on those squads. In his four years at Florida, Tebow won two national titles, and one Heisman trophy. Further, Tebow appears to have a good head on his shoulders, and could be the Broncos opening day quarterback.
