One of the most newsworthy teams this spring has been the Washington Redskins.  They have a new coach and new quarterback, but it is defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth that has make negative news. He has publically criticized the teams move to a 3-4 defense under new defensive coordinator Jim Haslett.  The has yet to show up to two voluntary practices as his teammates vocalize their frustration with his attitude and demand he show up.  All the while the veteran lineman has been asking to be traded.

A person from the Redskins office has alleged Haynesworth will not be traded, prompting fans and analysts to speculate if the expensive and vocal defensive pro bowler will be helpful or harmful to the team.

Despite the outburst and criticisms, Haynesworth will not significantly change the team in a negative way. He has proven his talent and history shows, as in the case of Brandon Marshall last year, even disgruntled players who want a trade will still show up on Sunday and let their talent and competitive nature show.

New experienced leadership of Donovan McNabb and Mike Shanahan will help calm Haynesworth as the season wears on. Despite a 4-12 record last year, the team displayed some impressiveness on defense.  With a new offensive scheme and quarterback, the Redskins can definitely compete in the division. Winning solves many problems, and when Haynesworth starts to practice and play around positive people who can win, he too will up and play hard while always working his mouth.
